Lead Mines Show Promising Vein Exposure at Gettysburg

Imperial drift nears ore shoot beneath shaft and tunnel
The Imperial drift is about 26 feet from a point under the ore shoot disclosed in a shaft from the upper tunnel. The vein shows favorable appearance after 300 feet of drift with iron carbonates crystalline reed and galena disseminated in rock. Crescents are now run on both sides of the drift to prospect the ground.
