Revival of Idaho mining expands across multiple counties

Lead Blossom Drift Nears Strong Ore Showings

Dr D E Keys of Mullan states the drift from the shaft bottom has extended about 180 feet. An engineer estimates ore in the tunnel 300 feet above should be reached in about 35 feet. The vein, located near Wardner on Slaughterhouse gulch, is seen as an extension of the Caledonia vein with 18 inches of lead silver ore exposed in a prior winze.

Cedar Creek East Drift Extends Main Tunnel Level

William Becker, manager of Cedar Creek Mining & Development, returned from the mine as development resumes this winter with six men employed. The project extends the drift east on the main tunnel level to gauge ore shoot extent, aiming to run at least 100 feet along the wall, crosscut to the hanging, then sink on the vein and, if successful, begin mill construction.

In Sanders county Montana, the Broken Hill discovery near Heron will be explored 108 feet deeper and 210 feet from the surface. Completion of the crosscut and drifting could bring substantial ore for shipment and fund a deep tunnel to sustain production. The property has a strong surface showings of lead silver and zinc. Delinquent shares to be sold in Wallace Idaho

The secretary treasurer of the Big Elk Mining Company Limited in Wallace Idaho warns that any stock with unpaid assessments remaining on February 10, 1923 will be delinquent and advertised for sale at public auction. If payment is not made by March 10, 1923 the stock will be sold to cover the delinquent assessment plus advertising costs and sale expenses.
