Big Creek Mill Set to Start in March Under Expanded Plant
G Scott Anderson, president of the Big Creek mining company, says work is accelerating to finish the concentrating plant and outside features. The mill, the first on Big Creek, will operate continuously from March 1, with new ore cars for tramway, upgraded tunnels, and a planned wagon road to ease concentrate delivery to the railroad. The ore is high in silver and lead, free of zinc, and the operation aims for a 24 hour run.
