Harold Blake of Washoe smelter outlines copper and zinc shingles as an economic, durable roofing option. He cites cost, rapid installation, salvage value, waterproofing, and reduced fire risk, noting a copper sheet for flat roofs and a machine to cut and bend shingles. He compares weights with wood, asbestos, slate, and tile, and cites tests on a roof at Anaconda.
