Hypotheck vein extended as ore theory draws interest
A cragscut tunnel 1600 feet west of the shaft cut the Hypotheck vein after about 400 feet of drive. The vein averages 60 feet wide with oxidized iron streaks and black manganese. Drift extended east roughly 1125 feet along a clearly defined footwall. If ore proves at the junction of three veins, mining and milling facilities are ready for quick resumption. Large plant and supplies are prepped, including housing, shops, and electric power. New Zealand reports a heavy mood with thousands unemployed.
