Tula Road Project Biggest In State
State highway officials praised progress on the Tula road project as the department’s most difficult job. Priorities include finishing six miles of final surfacing by month’s end, with completion this year unlikely before fall. If winter permits hauling base rock, six weeks would finish final surfacing next year. The project requires drainage work, a 800 foot by 18 foot section torn up to lay tile and a Telford rock base, and a Bessemer to Ramsay section also using Telford rock to curb spring frost upheavals.
