Supreme Court to Hear Finlay Tax Fight
The Sunday Lake Mining Co. asks the U S Supreme Court to review Finlay appraisal values that raised mine assessments from 60 000 and 5 000 to 989 444 and 83 000, claiming due process violations. The case stems from Wakefield township valuations and seeks recovery of taxes paid on the higher figures. Argument cannot be heard until the January term in Washington.
