The Wakefield Township School district shows strong finances with a total property value of 548,605.66 and bonded indebtedness of 7,000 mainly for the Wico School. North Andover Massachusetts resident Richard Russell owner of a large farm has devised a plan to protect birds while allowing his 26 pet cats to roam. He requires every cat to wear a bell collar so the birds can hear the approaching cats and flee the hills and dales.
A prehistoric fossilized skeleton, estimated at 45 feet tall, was discovered near the village of Chup, Yugoslavia. The petrified remains were buried 20 feet underground and unearthed by railroad workers. The specimen will be sent to the national museum, and its teeth measure 18 inches long.

Chatham Paul Hengerveld a pure bred Holstein bull born July 16 1923 is to be awarded as a prize to the best farmer judge of dairy cows at the Dairy Judging Contest. The KR Connor Co, large timber holder in Wakefield Marenisco and Ironwood townships, plans to float bonds to build a railroad from Wakefield north with headquarters in the city. Logs will be shipped to mills at Stratford and Marshfield Wisconsin for sawing and trading as logs. Construction start date not set, but officials indicate work could begin soon to ship logs this winter.
