Wakefield Loses Decisively to Bessemer High

Wakefield High School was decisively defeated by Bessemer High School 20 to 15 at the county seat. After a 9 to 12 halftime deficit, Bessemer pulled away in the second half as Wakefield showed it was outclassed. The loss ends Wakefield’s hopes for the Marquette interscholastic meet next month. next Friday’s season finale hosts Stambaugh at the local gym.
