Recital Praised At Fo Mission Episcopal Church
Music lovers lauded a recital by Jane Eckes Alvina Bekse and Miss Oslund under Prof Kirk at the Fo Mission Episcopal church last Friday and again Wednesday. The piano and pipe organ duet drew encore praise and both pupils showed marked progress. Miss Eckes’s The Awakening of the Son impressed the audience with clear program notes, while Miss Oslund’s sweet voice held promise for a fine career with more study.

End Not Unlooked For Died In Minneapolis Pastor Routzaba
Rev A C Routzaba pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church Breckenridge died Thursday morning at 11 at Asbury hospital Minneapolis. He fell ill weeks ago while delivering an address at a high school commencement and was sent to Minneapolis for treatment where he died of paralysis of the brain. His wife and several children survived. Funeral services were held Saturday morning and the remains interred at Lakewood Cemetery. The community extends sympathy to the bereaved family. mixed fire tournament results at Oakes North Dakota
The fire tournament at Oakes North Dakota June 25 26 27 drew wide turnout with Wahpeton Hook and Ladder winning first prize in parade and Germania Hose Co second. Results include Hook & Ladder time 23 seconds and Germania Hose time 30.5 seconds. Also Wahpeton Hub and Ladder first prize at 18.25 seconds and Germania Hose 27.25 seconds. Today features a union service contest ladder climbing and coupling events with notable mentions for Jos Simmer and Rudolph Vehulek.
