Wahpeton High alumni banquet honors alma mater at New Columbia
The Wahpeton High School annual Alumni Banquet and ball was held last Saturday at New Columbia restaurant. A large turnout welcomed members into the association. Violet and white decor graced the room while two twenty five seat tables featured the event. Toasts followed with a program including Welcome by Margaret Shea and responses by Marjory Ford and Mabel Forkner. Officers elected: Frank McKean president, Lillian Harris vice president, Jennie Miller treasurer, George Borrill secretary. A social dance concluded the evening.

Fraternal Shrine Event Draws Large Fargo Attendance
A sizable crowd from the area attended the Shriners meeting in Fargo last Friday. Eighty eight candidates were initiated into the order after entertainment and courtesy extended to all. El Zagal Shrine began seventeen years ago and the Imperial council plans a St Paul host in July with guests from across the nation expected.

Wahpeton Woman to Wed Chicago Dentist
Wahpeton North Dakota June bride to be Alice Albrecht will marry Dr Daniel Brogunier a Richland County dentist studying in the city. A Chicago license was issued yesterday with the five day advance requirement under Illinois law. Both families are well known locally and friends wish them a happy marriage voyage.

County Commissioners Consider Bridge in Walcott Township
On Monday June 30 1907 county commissioners met with all members present. The bridges committee in the first district recommended building a 32 foot bridge on the line between sections 5 and two in Walcott township. The motion carried to proceed with the bridge project. The chairman noted Canton bridges were in deplorable condition and petitions urged the board to act. The bridges committee in the first district also reported and recommended locating and building.

Adjourned Wahpeton city council meeting notes June 10
The Wahpeton city council adjourned after discussions on sewer work and a new boiler. The Water Supply Committee to gather info and prepare a written recommendation for the next meeting. The council authorized civil engineer details for sewer district No 1 and approved sidewalk construction by Robinson Lumber Co. plus curb and street work along several blocks in Root's addition and original townsite. Adjournment followed by City Auditor Wa. Rt. Pardos.
