The Ringsted section reports the death of Jake Dystra aged 23 from bootleg liquor poisoning after drinking hootch sold by Dan Sibrel. Dystra emigrated from Holland eight weeks earlier and worked for Sam VanDerBy. Sibrel, sought for manslaughter, disappeared after sheriff involvement. The piece urges pursuit and prosecution of bootleggers.
