Robert T Lawton formerly of Emmet County died at his Medford Oregon home on Thursday February 28 at 6 10 PM aged 86 years 9 months 25 days He was born in Verona Oneida County New York and settled in Emmet County in 1842 He owned a farm near Emmet Grove later owned by John R Horswell where his sons Denison and Wesley and daughter Helen grew to maturity He moved to Oregon during the seventies noted as progressive honest and industrious
Mrs Lucy Jane Gorton wife of E. Gorton died Sunday at home southeast of the city. Funeral from M. E. Church Tuesday at 2 PM. Born March 24, 1884 in Ohio she had lived in the county for years. Survived by her husband.
