Two ball games by evenly matched clubs, horse and pony races, foot races, and other sports headline Estherville’s Fourth of July program. A colored quartet performs during the day and evening, with acrobats and contortionists, street attractions, and a large expected crowd from nearby towns. Miss Ollie Pooter visits at the A. E. Gaylord home.
At noon on Wednesday June 19 1907 in the country home of Mr and Mrs J Q Overholt their daughter Inez married Mr Arthur F Carr of Hardy Iowa with Rev T B Cole officiating. The ceremony followed a piano performance and wedding march. forty guests attended a three course luncheon. The bridal party wore traditional dress. guests included relatives from Wyoming Nora Springs Kellogg and Havelock. The couple planned a honeymoon at Spirit Lake and will reside in Hardy Iowa after August 1.
