Emmet County Board settles damages and drains district
The Emmet County Board of Supervisors meets and approves settlement of damages with the N. W. Co. and authorizes the chair to sign the agreement. F A MacDonald appointed engineer for preliminary ditch 63 survey. J S Morse named delegate to the state agricultural convention in Des Moines on the second Wednesday of December 1910. A comprehensive resolution establishes Drainage District No. 87 with detailed damage awards to numerous property owners and appoints commissioners to classify costs. A further resolution authorizes legal action to restrain a separate drainage offshoot outside the district. The board adjourns to continue the next day.
