Farmers Institute set for February 17 and 18 in county
The Farmers Institute will be held February 17 and 18 with a strong program. Officers include Ed Converse as president and J R Hornwell as vice president. Board members are Anderson, Crumb, Refeel, Broad, Woods, Robinson, Blakey, Horswell and Welch. Committees were named to boost livestock, domestic science, premiums, ticket sales and publicity. A program and evening entertainment plan will be published soon.

Asphyxiated In A Well In Ellsworth Township Death
Walter Bumbarger of Ellsworth township died Saturday noon from foul air while digging a well on the Adolph farm. He was about thirty five, down forty five feet, fell dead after signaling air was bad. He was pulled out too late. Funeral held from residence and interment in Estherville west side cemetery. Neighbors extend sympathy to widow and children.
