John A Klopp, 31, Estherville native and Brown Drug Company and Van Brunt Overland executive, died in a Sioux Falls hospital after pneumonia. Survived by wife Lucy, three sisters Dorothy Klopp, Mrs Torrens, and Mrs Brown. Funeral at family residence Sunday 3:30 p.m. with private services.

Meeting of War Mothers Chapter in Emmet County
The Emmet County Charter of War Mothers of America met at Grant's restaurant room on Thursday December fifth with about two hundred charter members enrolled. Twelve Estherville Township members were elected to join district chairmen on the Executive Board. Next meeting is the first Thursday in January. Mrs F H Rhodes named Iowa state organizer for War Mothers of America. A card from Lt Lawrence Collins in England dated November 12 notes arrival at a training school detachment and an assignment as instructor.
