Drainage District 47 Engineer Appointed for Iowa Lands
The County Board of Supervisors approved L L Boggess as engineer to survey and locate necessary drainage works for a proposed district starting near the Iowa state line in Eagle Lake area. The move follows a January 14, 1919 petition by S Stark claiming lands would benefit from drainage and that existing District 47 failed to act on an engineer report. The plan seeks to improve flood overflow, health, and welfare by draining wet lands and directing a path from Section 11 through Sections 14 toward the old district outlet.
