Ponderosa High School Burglar Arrested in June theft
One suspect is jailed after a burglary at Ponderosa High School's agriculture and mechanics building. El Dorado County officials seek two more suspects. welding equipment valued at $16,000 was stolen. Joseph Bradley, 27, of Olom, was booked on burglary, possession of stolen property, and drug charges. Call (530) 621-6600 with case No. 16-4951.

Former Oak Ridge principal Burke sues district over termination
Burke filed a federal suit June 14 naming El Dorado Union High School District and officials including Superintendent Stephen Wehr Assistant Superintendent Tony DeVille and Courtney Soto. He says he was placed on paid leave in 2015 after a sexual harassment claim and that the district retaliated by not renewing his contract and forcing his departure. He alleges Soto damaged his reputation with malicious accusations and seeks unspecified damages.
