Golf pro offers plan after EDH course closure
Senior golfer Jack O Camb recalls El Dorado Hills Golf Course as his 16 year retirement job and community asset. NGF analyst Ed Getherall warned that short 4000 yard layout with low fees and aging infrastructure struggles amid Sacramento’s golf boom and municipal cost pressures. Study shows 25 percent of local golf holes were built in last decade and 91,000 annual rounds in the late 1980s fell to 35,420 by 2006, making break even unlikely even with revamp and lease options.
