Girl Scout earns Gold Award for Senior Center project
Heather Rains, a Girl Scout from El Dorado Hills, creates an arts and crafts room for seniors with dementia at the Senior Day Center. The project, a Gold Award achievement, involved 150 hours, donations from Placerville and El Dorado Hills, shelving, and plans to paint and decorate after completion at the old El Dorado Hills fire station.

Seniors Celebrate Independence Day Party July 7
Seniors from across the county are invited to the Independence Day Party on Saturday July 7 at 11 a.m. in the CSD gym El Dorado Hills. A Color Guard ceremony by the EDH Fire Department features music from Al Kolthoff and the EDH Senior Funl-Time Band plus an all you can eat buffet of fried chicken salads BBQ beans watermelon and ice cream.
