Latrobe Murder Suspect Gets New Court Date
Roy Roth of Latrobe, 31, appeared with attorney Mark Ralphs in a brief hearing. The defense sought two weeks for discovery. Judge Melikian granted a continuation to May 4 at 9:30 a.m. in Department 2 as prosecutors plan to deliver discovery to Shaded. Roth is charged with killing his wife Deborah whose body was found on the couple’s Latrobe property on April 3.

Windmill wins 49th Camellia Cup Regatta at Folsom Lake
Roseville's Dave Nielsen, 62, sailed Sea Alice Windmill two person 15.5 foot boat to victory over 60 boats in the Camellia Cup Regatta at Folsom Lake Yacht Club. Nielsen earned best overall, Open Centerboard and Red Open Centerboard titles, with three firsts, under brisk but fading winds. The Sacramento area’s oldest sailboat race drew Northern California entrants before wind conditions shortened the schedule.
