Hall of Cordele Named Postmaster Successor to Davis

Mr. M. G. Hall of Cordele, an applicant for the Cordele post office, has received notice of appointment to succeed Postmaster Davis. Hall will resume duties in a few days and will appoint S. L. Felder, a worthy and well known young man, as assistant to Cordele residents.

Death of Mrs J P Hoard Reported

Just before going to press we learn today of the death of Mrs J P Hoard of this place from consumption. Her remains will be interred in the city cemetery tomorrow afternoon. She was an estimable Christian lady and leaves a husband a large family and many friends to mourn her loss.
