A fire broke out Tuesday morning at eleven o eleven at the Vienna Ginnery and Mill plant. A bucket brigade aided by a large crowd saved the mill from total loss and it is expected to resume operations in a few days after the insurance adjuster settles a claim.
On last Sunday afternoon Mrs. Bell of Hawkinsville and Mr. Henry Payne of this city were married at Grovania. They arrived Sunday night and will reside in the city. Miss Julia Parnell of this city died Wednesday night September 28 after about a week of illness. She was the only daughter of Mr. J. R. Parnell. Her remains were taken to Perry last Thursday morning for interment. The Progress extends sympathy to the bereaved family.
