Democratic urging in Dooly County asserts every voter must support the party against populism. It accuses Populists of sowing discord, endorses no women suffrage or federal schemes, praises Democratic achievements for Black voters, and calls to increase the Democratic majority by urging turnout and party work.
In Georgia the secretary of state warns Democrats to watch for fake election blanks sent from populist headquarters. The forgery risk lies in extra blanks being used to forge signatures and influence county returns. The Progress notes its own improved printing press and County news expansion in Vienna and Dooly county.
Near Sycamore last Tuesday evening Mr. D. H. Mears and Miss Mollie Arnold wed in a match described as unprecedented by locals. Mrs. Mary Mears, the groom’s late wife, died Sunday the 9th, and nine days later the home welcomed a new wife in Mr. Mears’s words, a remarkable family event recorded by the Sycamore News.

In Dooly County Georgia M E Rushin administrator seeks leave to sell estate lands of Mrs M F Rushin with a November 1 court date. A separate notice asks for permanent letters of administration on Barbry Shrouder’s estate, also with a November 1 date. Dooley Sheriff sells land Lot 142 202 acres in the 9th district on November 1 to satisfy four funds in the death district. Jeremiah Slade administrator lists land for rent near Vienna Georgia for the coming year, about 150 acres with three laborer cabins, October 1 notice.
Notice from Gooly County Georgia that in the next General Assembly on the fourth Wednesday of October 1894 a bill will be introduced to amend Vienna town charter to authorize a public school system in the town and to authorize issuing bonds to fund school buildings and related needs. The notice is dated September 24, 1894.
