It notes a ten thousand teacher membership and requests publication and adoption in the paper.
Cordelo native Lieut W G Edwards of the Eighth Infantry returns on furlough after serving around Santiago and San Juan. He rose from private to lieutenant during the Santiago campaign and recalls Cuban conditions, noting Americans live like kings compared to Cuba. The unit was stationed in Salt Lake City and will be sent to Porto Rico soon.
The colored farmers of Dooly county are urged to meet in Cordele public school on Thanksgiving Thursday November 24. Important farming matters will be discussed. All interested farmers and their families are invited to attend. E. B. Barco.

Death at Pinehurst reported for Mr W L Edmundson son, who died at home Sunday night. Cause not learned. He was well liked by all who knew him. Sympathy extended to the bereaved family.
