Residents discuss court delays and warm weather plans while noting mixed health, school visits, and negotiations. A local grocery and Parlor Grocery advertise, with reports on court attendance, inspections, and upcoming social events including a Gainesville marriage notice.
Announcement of a complete millinery line personally sourced for Adults Children and Babies. It advertises hats trimmed to order from 25 cents to 1 50, ribbons flowers and ornaments, with Mrs S F Bagwell assisting and Miss C Rodgers doing press making at Everett Corner. Also Seed Irish Potatoes for sale by Stovall and Forbes.
The ladies of our town held model picnic dinners at Mrs Morgan and Miss Brown's millinery shop on three days last week. The prep was perfect, service ample, and satisfaction high. All who could dine did so and praised the elegant repast, finding it very profitable for the organizers. The editors also dined with them and, despite their best effort, had to leave many dishes uneaten.
State School Commissioner S D Bradwell calls all licensed teachers in Dooly county to attend the Annual Session of the Teachers Institute in Albany Georgia for five days starting April 3 1893. Schools receiving public fund aid must suspend for that week. March 12 1893. O P Swearingen. c 8 c
Intelligence reports the death of John N. Adkins at his home five miles below town yesterday. He was seen in town last week attending court and appeared well before suddenly falling ill on Thursday with two convulsions. He died early yesterday morning after his condition worsened. He leaves a large family and was a long time Coroner of the county and a faithful Bethel church member. Another old and prominent citizen of Dooly has passed.
Last week at Doory Superior Court a large attendance filled the courts as many cases were dismissed for want of prosecution or settled. McSwain won land and 150 dollars in damages, Brown received a verdict in his land dispute, and J T Knight won in the Mayo will case after motions and injunctions. Jail sentences were handed down as several inmates pled guilty and three murder cases loom for this week. The grand jury completed much work on roads bridges jail salary and county court pay before adjournment.

A detailed two day religious programme at Fort Early church includes sermons and discussions on missions with Rev J J Hyman Rev J S Fillyan Rev B W Davis and J E Howell along with prayers and talks. The piece also notes The Atlanta Constitution urging Georgia's claim to about 25 000 federal offices and praises supporters of the political drive.
Four Indiana graduates representing Mississippi South Carolina Tennessee and Georgia secured stenography positions after brief study. The article lauds Georgia Business College of Macon for rapid practical instruction enabling quick graduation and immediate job placement.
