Superior Court News from a Dooly County Session

Last week's Superior court session ran late with untried Priday assignments and disqualified cases to be moved to the next term. Judge Littlejohn seeks a presiding replacement and an extra week may be added to clear the docket. Criminal work began Monday. the jail is crowded with bonded suspects. Tom Walker was acquitted after evidence failed. Gus Walker was found guilty of assault with intent to murder and fined 150 dollars. Henry Fish pleaded guilty to forgery and received twelve months. Will Jordan pleaded guilty to shooting during a Christmas frolic, with ten months or 60 dollars. Arthur MacKenny faces trial for killing a white tramp near Arabi. jury deliberations continue.
