Two brothers Shep and Tom Wood visited Seville for whiskey and beer. Tom, intoxicated, shot Shep twice then killed himself. Shep survived with severe injuries. burial held at Cobb grounds. Community laments and urges restraint from drinking.
A Cleveland man Gustav Thurmaster reports a rapid cure after using two bottles of Dr Bull s Cough Syrup for a cold and chest cough. He claims the cough disappeared and he was cured. The advertisement states the syrup costs 25 cents and urges buyers to take only Bull s.
An essay by Nemo argues for child centered education and diminished role of authority figures. It critiques ecclesiastical control and rigid schooling, praising a future where individual child needs guide learning, with emphasis on child study and humane parenting.

The widow Mrs Nannie EB Hamilton, three miles west of the city, lost her dwelling to a Sunday night blaze at 10 o clock. The roof fire, started by a defective flue, forced the family to flee in night clothes as farm hands arrived too late to help. The house and all contents burned except a piano. property value estimated at 2500 to 3000 dollars with no insurance.
