Among The People. Lloyd and Pinia lumber networks visit
Our subscriber enjoyed a pleasant trip through Yellow Pine forests and large mills near Pinia and Lloyd. We met lumber men Oneal Gross and Smith Thomas & Co. at Lloyd, and old friends Judge Musselwhite and Constable Warren Musselwhite. We attended the eleventh district court at Lloyd and found docketed cases few, indicating local prosperity. Warren Musselwhite hosted a sumptuous dinner and guided a tour of his farm, showing a ten acre cotton patch heavy with bolls. He seeks twelve five hundred pound bales from that patch, a likely outcome given the abundant fruit. Crops in the county are generally thriving with adequate rainfall.
