Fire destroys two Arabi homes in weekend blaze
Last Saturday afternoon about 4 30 p m a fire in the home of Mr J H Bedgood at Arabi totally destroyed the house and contents before aid arrived. Nearby Mr C B King’s house also burned but furniture was saved. Citizens battled to save other homes and local mills, with no insurance on the burned properties.
