Georgia Southern & Florida Railway Company has purchased the Atlantic Valdosta & Western Railway. The property will operate as part of the Georgia Southern & Florida Railway starting November 1, 1902. All officers’ tenure extends over the merged operation, and mileage tickets issued by the Atlantic Valdosta & Western will be accepted for mileage over the Georgia Southern system after the merger.
