Church Case Settled After Arbitration at Pinehurst
A long running Mt Olive church dispute, dating to 1899, ended by arbitration at Pinehurst with the Hall faction prevailing. The case concerned church property and internal rebellion, after two loads of bird shot and a tense standoff. The split followed years of discord among Primitive Baptists. the court opened the house to both sides, and services resumed under the settlement.
