An 1896 Vienna Georgia edition advertises DeWitt's Little Early Risers pills for indigestion headache liver and constipation plus poultry stock and lice treatment from Stovall Forbes and J H Martin. It also prints a Commissioner sale notice for Mrs L M Wynn’s residence lot in Vienna to be sold by W C Hamilton under a Decree in a real estate action.
Passenger and fast freight schedules take effect April 1 1896. The update lists times for daily runs and key halts, detailing departure and arrival windows for notable stations along the line. Names of termini and intermediate stops appear with timetable notes for morning and evening service.
An item notes trains numbers 17 and 18 run solid between Savannah and Montgomery with through coaches on numbers 25 to 28 linking Savannah Americus. It includes a notice from Cecil Gabbet, vice president and general manager Americus Ga, and Pope, general passenger agent, plus an advertisement/letter from J H Watts Humboldt Neb praising Dr Miles Heart Cure and related remedies amid a health testimonial.
Charles H Wetzel of Sunbury Pa endorses Chamberlains Pain Balm for inflammatory rheumatism claiming complete cure after three bottles purchased at Molisk drug store. Affidavit dated August 10 1894 and sale terms 50 cents per bottle by Stovall Forbes. Also a public warning against employing or harboring William Hobby alias William Nobles a minor, dated April 1 1896.
An advertisement invites readers to obtain a free book of cures from Blood Balm Co. Prices listed include one large bottle for $1.00 and six bottles for $1.00. If not sent, medicine will be freight prepaid on receipt of price. Address Blood Balm Co., Atlanta.
Georgia Douly County notice states R P Sentell as administrator applies for letters of dismission from the estate of W W Sentell deceased. The judge will pass on the application on the first day in July 1896 at the courthouse. Dated April 6 1896 by J D Haytove O D C
In Dooly County Georgia R H Pate applies for permanent letters of administration on the estate of R H Pate deceased and a hearing is set for the first Monday in May 1896. Wm Short administrator seeks letters of dismission from the estate of Mrs Eleanor Short with a citation for heirs and creditors to show cause by the first Monday in May 1896.
Claims a remarkable system action that cures rheumatism and neuralgia in 1 to 8 days. States the first dose greatly benefits and that the disease disappears after use. Sold by Sto vall & Forbes Druggist in Vienna for 75 cents.
A sheriff sale notice states property in Cordele Dooly County Georgia will be sold at the courthouse door on the first Tuesday in May to the highest bidder for cash. It lists city lots in blocks eight and ten and the entire block two hundred six with improvements, levied under a mortgage fi fa in favor of Busbee Crum & Busbee against Maria Edwards, tenant in possession notified. Also a separate sale of city lot one in block forty eight listed as Ezekiel Heard’s property to satisfy a fi fa from the Justice Court 1451 District G M in favor of F P Bennett. J A Cross administrator presents petition showing full administration of David Altman estate. Court citations require heirs and creditors to show cause why administrator should not be discharged and receive letters of dismission on the first Monday in June next. March 2 1896 J D Hargrove O D C
