Reported break in at P. G. McDonald store nets loss claims including clothing and jewelry. Suspects Tom Cobb and associates, including sons and son in law, are jailed after search of their house turns up missing items. Commitment trial set, bonds at 850 each for upcoming Superior Court term. Also notes a Teachers Institute program with songs, scripture, geography discussions, solos, and an address by Rev. J. M. Kelley.
The second quarterly meeting of the Vienna circuit will be held at Friendship near Byromville on Saturday before the fifth Sunday in this month. All are invited to attend, and every steward should be present so each church may be fully represented. Presiding Elder J. B. McGehee, Revs. Ei Crawley and R. Allison will deliver sermons edifying all listeners.
At about 9 o clock Tuesday night Miss Gussie Lennard heard a noise at the window and called Col Wooten who ran out with his gun but the intruder vanished apparently under the house. Several shots were fired without effect as known. Authorities seek the night robbers and swift justice.
Harmony Dooly and community members plan a Decoration Day gathering at the cemetery on Wednesday the 26th. They will clean, repair fences and frames, and decorate graves with church exercises at eleven. Dinner follows at 12:30 on the grounds. J M Kelley and others from Vienna may attend.
