Women of South Georgia Conference Missionary Society Hear Inspiring Annual Meeting
The annual meeting of the Homes Mission Society of the South Georgia Conference closed March 31 in a delightfully inspiring session. Delegates from numerous towns discussed society objects, from building parsonages to aiding frontier preachers, educating the destitute, aiding orphans, and promoting Christian home life. The treasurer reported 15 months of funds across 20 reporting societies totaling 558.95, with local and general allocations. The day included sermons, league meetings, and papers on giving, with Waycross chosen for next year’s meeting.

Piano Contest in Vienna for Medal Awarded by C D Wilson
A piano music contest will be held in Vienna on Saturday the 13th to award a medal given by R L Wilson of Cordele for the best scholar to represent Dooly in a future Albany Chautauqua contest. The event takes place at Mrs O M Heard’s, with Rev J M Kelly, Mrs O M Heard, Miss Anna Hamilton, and Miss Essie Harris named as judges. Admission will be restricted to contestants, judges, and attendants.

Fire nuisance from floor spark harms roof shingles
A spark from Judge J D Har grove's kitchen floor settled on the roof Monday and started a small blaze. The damage was limited to a few dozen shingles and wear from the long trek to the house by the rescuing crew.
