Mr Y H Gregor of Unadilla has contracted J Q Shipp of the city to build a one story brick structure adjoining his store. The 25 by 123 feet building will have a glass front to better display goods. The new space will house retail groceries and furniture will move to the existing store for general merchandise. Gregor sells farm supplies and claims a large county business and will inform readers of progress through the News.

Mrs. W L Bell, 56, of near Ebeneezer church, died Saturday of pneumonia. She was a Baptist and mother of twelve, eight living. Her remains were interred in the cemetery. Sunday drew a large crowd in attendance.

The city council Monday night approved funding to visit Vice-President Geo. Dole Wadley and pursue the A. & B. railroad. They exempt education board members and city officials from street tax and authorized purchase of three plugs of hose for a new water works plan. J. G. Forehand to supervise streets at $2 per day.
Mrs. OC Simmons visited her brother in Perry and John Folds visited his sister in Pinehurst. The sick are improving and youths enjoyed a sing led by J. B. Folds. Rufus Clew ens is ill and unable to attend. Mrs J O Morey is very sick and a speedy recovery is wished. Our school is running under Miss Julie Wallace. Bye till next time.
