Negro Killed by Falling Tree Near Richwood
A negro stock cutter was killed when a tree fell in the woods near Richwood. The name was not learned. This is the second death in the area this winter and a coroner held an inquest, with a third inquest by Coroner Graham within a week.

Protracted Revival Ends at Local Methodist Church
The two week revival at the Methodist church concluded Thursday with a prayer and experience meeting. Rev Leitch and Chorister Marshall labored for sinners but conversions were few. The church was awakened and the revivalists received about $150 in donations. They will continue in Fitzgerald and seek future success.

Death of a Bright Little Girl Eva Roundtree
The 12 year old daughter of Jim Roundtree died Wednesday afternoon after a brief pneumonia illness. Her remains were laid to rest Thursday at Lane graveyard with Rev. J D Norris officiating as many relatives and friends attended. A younger daughter remains seriously ill with pneumonia. The family has the sympathy of many friends.

C W Johns longtime Vienna resident and former city marshal dies after six weeks sickness. He leaves a sorrowing wife formerly Rena Johnson and is buried in City Cemetery with Rev J M Kelly and others officiating. He had been a successful businessman and accumulated real estate.

A severe early morning storm in Mississippi wrecked a river steamer near Vicksburg, drowning twenty one passengers. Dr. N. A. Lancaster of Palmyra, brother of Mrs. H. M. Smith of Cordele, was among the victims.

Inquest Held Over Batson Robbery Murder in Richwood
Coroner J W Graham conducted an inquest in Richwood into the death of W C Batson who was knocked down and robbed at his gate Monday night.
