The Dooly County Veterans plan their annual reunion at the campground on Tuesday in July with a large turnout expected. Solicitor General W. F. George will deliver the closing address and all veterans, families, and supporters are urged to participate. A committee will arrange music and the Daughters of the Confederacy are invited to assist in making the event a success.

Democratic Executive Committee Fails to Meet on Saturday

Desperado Bostwick Killed in Ocilla County Arrest
In Ocilla Georgia on June 27 a posse attempt to arrest W H Bostwick resulted in four dead and several wounded. Sheriff J P McInnia Irwin county and Stephen Davis Ocilla chief of police were killed. Tim Sheffield Irwin deputy and W H Bostwick were fatally or mortally wounded. H C Bass Wyatt deputy and Tucker Irwin deputy were injured. James Grill is among the wounded.

State Pension Rolls Increased in 1909
Atlanta June 25 There is a total net gain of 186 names in the state pension rolls and pension payments rise by 11159 according to Pension Commissioner J W Lindsay's annual report to Gov Brown. Deaths of pensioners last year were 1118 and 1804 names were added to the rolls. A pending Senate bill after House passage seeks about 200000 for extra pension payments under the new law.

West Mosley Captured in Saturday Manhunt

Accused Man Kills Husband in Georgia Farm Incident
Tifton area report describes T. H. Sutton fatally shot by tenant William Sumner on Sutton’s plantation near Little River.
