The firm plans to install a gasoline engine in new quarters to increase output and speed. It has purchased hundreds of dollars of up to date advertisements and job forms, with more arriving, aiming to rival city operations and serve patrons quickly and neatly. The News has grown in popularity and now reaches nearly every county home, making the paper a household necessity for merchants to reach the public.
Atlanta Feb 25 The state of Georgia faces six major lawsuits as Attorney General John C Hart fights railroads in supreme and federal courts over local freight rates stove rates and tax assessments The central figures are the Central of Georgia Southern and Coast Line and parties include the Georgia Railroad and Banking Company the Western of Alabama stock and the Carter children case set for Valdosta hanging proceedings ongoing with March hearings and federal appeals pending.
Col J H Estill of Savannah spoke to about 880 voters at noon recess in Dooly county. He endorsed biennial sessions, labor reform, a penal offense for wife desertion, state school books, local option on prohibition, and opposed state prohib prohibition. Estill praised local schools and public funds plans while reading campaign notes. He was introduced by Col M P Hall and accompanied by J A Davis of the Savannah News staff.
A petition circulated Monday asks J P Heard Sr to allow his name as a candidate for representative from Dooly in the Georgia legislature. The form, signed by four citizens, cites his ability and effort for Old Dooly in Atlanta last summer.
The Superior Court convened in the city on Monday with Judge Z A Joho presiding. Solicitor F A Is present for the state. Juries sworn, W A Snelling chosen foreman, D S Taylor clerk. Civil docket opened. judges and officers proceed to hear cases. Court recessed pending further docket work and potential adjournment for the term.
Wimington N C February 1906 Waycross Ga the Atlantic Coast Line awards to a Chicago firm the contract for steel foundations and construction of shops at Waycross including a house storehouse foundry pattern shop blacksmith and boiler shops power house and paint shops planing mill and repair yards with capacity for 282 cars work to begin soon and complete by January 1 1907. Tracks equipment contract to follow increasing Waycross project cost to about 500000.
Notice to the public announces Walter Forehand seeking the sheriff's office in Dooly county. He notes past service as Vienna marshal in 1908 and current bailiff of the city court. He pledges to appoint a competent deputy to ensure focused public service.
A fire Sunday morning about 8 oclock destroyed a barn on the Modell farm. A large quantity of feed, farm tools, and a milch cow were lost. The cause of the blaze and the total loss are not known.
A short note from Vienna Drug Co promotes Rydale's Stomach Tablets as a guaranteed cure for all forms of stomach trouble. It urges readers to buy a trial bottle for 26 cents and be convinced of relief from indigestion and related ailments.

Chicago February 23 Johann Hoch, condemned for murder, faced a long history of marriages across several states. He married at least a dozen women, obtaining money and leaving each in turn. He was executed after a series of legal delays, with prior reprieves and a Supreme Court review. His case centered on murder charges and alleged poisoning claims.
Gray, a married man from Canton, was shot by Picklesimon after a whiskey gathering along the road near the Exquire A. G. Collins farm ten miles from town. Picklesimon was arrested and Cherokee superior court convenes tomorrow. a speedy trial for the killing is expected.
