Judge T M Allen, ordinary of Sumter county, died unexpectedly Sunday night at the Kimball house in Atlanta after requesting a fire be made in his room. He had come to the city to advocate the state pension bill and was reported in good health prior to retiring. The physician said death resulted from a brain hemorrhage. Raised in Americus, he was widely esteemed in his home county.

Woman Burned to Death in Waynesboro Home
Mrs Edward A Carter wife of Hon B A Carter died after being badly burned today in Waynesboro Georgia. She was seated by a fire in her room when flames ignited her clothing and she sustained fatal injuries despite prompt medical help. Her husband awoke and found her in a severely burned condition.

Two Meet Death Beneath Water in Savannah River
Savannah Ga February 19 two young men William B Martin and R Bostick drowned while out hunting in a bateau on the Savannah river near Scotia. They were with two negro companions. The boat struck a snag and threw the party into the river. Martin and Bostick disappeared, the other two clung to a tree and were rescued. Both men about thirty five, prominent in Scotia. Martin son of Colonel ADM Martin and Bostick son of Rev Joseph Bostick. Bodies not recovered by tonight.
