The Ordinary urges all pensioners in Dooly County to call or send proper instructions to secure their checks. Total pension payments amount to 7215.00 with 10 deaths and 28 additions to the roll under the 1908 act. Delays attributed to clerical work and treasury confusion.
The Valentine dance given by the eo U. D. O's at Union Warehouse drew a large crowd and was one of the season's most enjoyable events. The evening benefited the city park fund, with about $30 realized.
The Senate passed a bill authorizing a fish hatching and cultural station near the Georgia seacoast. It provides $15,000 for buildings site and equipment with the Secretary of Commerce and Labor having jurisdiction. The action aims to lower rising meat and pork costs by expanding hatcheries nationwide.
Ordinary J. D. Hargove has received the Georgia Codes from the State printer for distribution among the Justices of the Peace and Ex-Officio Notaries Public of the county. Each officer must call in person to sign a receipt before delivery.

Atlanta February 14 William Jennings Bryan said he has a strong friendship with Hoke Smith and would back him loyally if he became the Democratic nominee for president. He sees no reason why Smith should not be chosen and expressed support based on past campaigns.
