The Ocilla Southern railway could extend north from Rochelle through Pineview Unadilla and Perry with Nashville as current southern end. The News favors a route Rochelle to Fort Valley via Tippettville Vienna and Emerich offering direct links to Atlanta Macon and Columbus, or Emerich to Perry to Macon. A petition to President J A Henderson of Ocilla is urged to back Vienna as the line’s name to spur business for a growing Dooly capital.

The home, run by the Methodist church mission, aids homeless girls up to age eighteen and places them in self supporting positions. about a hundred girls are housed with many more applying. The work welcomes applicants beyond the Methodist faith.
