A man from Cordele sustained bruises and knee gashes in a late Friday night auto accident on the road to Buck Hill east of the city. He was aided by passersby and rode to his place of business the next day as doctors expected a rapid recovery.
Mary Reynolds daughter of A Mitchell died Saturday morning at her home in Kitty after a long illness. Survived by her aged father and five siblings incl Essie Griffin Ethel Mattie of this city and Dwight Emmett of the county. Interment Saturday afternoon at 8 80 in the city cemetery.
J A Adkins of Vienna Georgia reports a stolen Winchester patent 44 caliber rifle from his house on a November night. He notes a broken lid and missing cartridges and mentions two razors and a watch taken. He suspects the weapon moved through Crisp County and offers reward for its return.
Col J M Bushee of this city was pardoned after a prior recommendation from the Prison Commission. The pardon would apply to Frank Williams who had been sentenced to life for the murder of another man. Williams had been sent up for life from this city.
A holiday goods notice from J. L. Peavy thanking patrons and inviting continued support. He pledges a full stock of confections for Christmas and designates the shop as the headquarters for holiday shoppers.
Citizens urged to press officials to back the Ocilla Southern railroad extension via Rochelle and Fitzgerald toward Fort Valley or Abbeville. Meetings in Fitzgerald reported promoters are earnest and Vienna could gain a union depot with the new line. A representative should meet Hon. A J Henderson to push the project.
Miss Katie L. Coppedge and Mr. W. R. Brown wed Saturday night at the courthouse. Ordinary Hargrove officiated around eight o clock. The bride is daughter of Bill Coppedge and the groom a son of the late Jas R. Brown. Friends extend congratulations.
The W O W Lodge will meet at Pinehurst on Friday night December 28 with election of officers and roll of several logs. J H Broom special representative will be present. All members urged to attend.
The Sunday School Institute met at the Baptist church Sunday morning with large crowds. Lectures focus on U. S. work and run through Wednesday night as pastor Eubanks coordinates with Dr. B. D. Ragsdale and workers Arthur Fiske G. W. Andrews and Mrs. W. H. Carter assisting.
Reverend A. A. Smith sells his farm of 100 acres at $2,000 to Harby Lamb of Abbeville. Lamb will move his family to Leslie soon. A bazaar will be held all morning Wednesday through Friday with a list of ladies in charge and a News booth caller.

Valdosta Georgia December 10 John Mansor a leading wholesale fruit merchant and beer dealer was arrested on return to the city after a week away charged with three liquor sales indictments and three for selling cigarettes to minors His bond was set at 1000 each liquor case and 250 each cigarette case totaling 38750 Mansor owns several near beer establishments and the alleged violations occurred at one of them He posted the bond without trouble.

Administrators sold lands in Dooly county at public auction last Tuesday. Prices per acre ranged from 12 to 85.25, with multiple lots and a home place marketed. Brick and wooden stores in Unadilla brought 1062 and 2850 dollars, and total sales indicated high value for local lands.
City officials ordinance passed to prohibit sale and firing of fireworks within Vienna during the holiday period. Dec 1910. Mayor J.B. Waurox and Clerk J.E. Jomen record the resolution.
