J tagore visited Macon Saturday and several local figures including Col. J M Busbee Col L L Woodward and Judge D L Henderson were seen in nearby towns. Residents renewed subscriptions to the News and business moved forward with real estate and hotel changes as multiple visits and local events fill the week.

The next examination for applir canta to teach in the public schools of the county will be held at the court house in Vienna on December 21 and 22, 1906. Also notices include a sale of a second hand 8 horse power International engine by Vienna Hardware Co and rewards for arrest and recovery of a pistol. The Cheerful Workers of the Baptist church hosted over 100 children ages 7 to 9:30 pm Friday. The event featured music games and plays, shoe bags with two pennies per year of age, totaling 1155 years and $23.10 in value, allocated to a worthy cause. Fruits and confectioneries followed as the pastor and Mrs Cutis coordinated the evening in the pastorium hall and parlors.
