A fire last night on Church street destroyed four adjacent dwellings owned by Rev P G McDonald and occupied by Brock Ennis Joe Mitchell G W Powell and Batkerson. Fire spread rapidly aided by the wind. only some items saved from three houses while Mrs C W Johns across the street was saved with help from the crowd. Repairs and insurance plans note logs valued at 2600 and goods at 500 with no goods insured. Origin of blaze unknown and fire company praised for its efforts.

Mrs. A. J. Quick Dies After Illness at 62
Mrs. A J Quick, matron at the poor farm, died Wednesday morning after a three week pneumonia illness. She was 62, a Methodist, survived by two daughters and four brothers, widow for about 20 years, with a life policy and savings. She served as matron 12 years. Funeral held Thursday at Siloh Cemetery with Rev J M Kelley officiating.

Man Falls Fifty Feet From Trestle Rock Pile
Wiley Robertson of Tunnel Hill Ga fell fifty feet from a trestle rock pile at Big Canyon ten miles from Atlanta Tuesday afternoon at 2 o clock. He is in a precarious condition and likely to die. Robertson is a member of Bent Beard s bridge gang and was at the site when he lost his footing. Policeman R J Williams reported the accident as he passed in the Marietta car. Efforts to obtain a physician were begun but he had to leave. Robertson s chances for recovery are slim.
