Public notices announce guardianship, administration, and road creation actions in Dooly County Georgia with hearings on May first Mondays in 1908. Items include estate matters for Malachia Bowen and Samuel Fudge, a land deed dispute, and a local eminent domain bill for Vienna.
To the heirs at law of D B Leonard I have filed with the ordinary of Dooly County a petition asking M P Hall to execute deed to me for all of land No 252 except 14 1 2 acres on the north side in the 2nd district Dooly County The land was bonded to DT Forehand by D B Leonard and the bond was transferred to me The purchase price has been paid in full and I will seek a deed on the first Monday in May 1903 on Ptit 6th 1908 by J B Walton
Dooly County Georgia will sell on the first Tuesday in May 1906 at the courthouse door under legal hours. Fifty acres of land east part of lot 77 in the 9th district, owned by Xing Wallace, to satisfy 1907 state and county taxes per C R Morgan. Also one acre off southwest corner of lot 8 in the 7th district, estate of JJ Forbes and children, to satisfy 1907 taxes per C R Morgan. Levy by HJ Morgan I.O and Sizapa tome. advertisement and sale. The sheriff sells the south half of lot 83 in the 6th district Dooly County Georgia containing 1.25 acres more or less to satisfy a city court fi fe from Vienna in favor of M P Hall against C A E Carmack. Tenants in possession notified. This 4th day of April 1908. O I Bennet, Sheriff.
A group led by McKenzie and partners petitions the Dooly Superior Court to form The Peoples Friend Association for twenty years with renewal. The plan is to promote Christian humanitarian work, care for the sick, bury the dead, and endow each member with fifty dollars. The initial lodge will be in Cooling Georgia with future branch Lodges possible. Filed March 30, 1808, with attorney Geo Wooris and clerk J Frasx Powein.
Marshal will sell before the City Council chamber door in Vienna Georgia on April 20 1908 the described cattle to pay impounding fees feed bills and advertising. The first cow brindle colored marked crop and split right and crop left ear the second yellow with crop and under bit left and over bit right ear. Both in fairly good shape. C Everett Marshal.
