Vidalia reports on residents traveling to Atlanta and Savannah for visits and work. A meeting of the Postal Employees Welfare Council for the section was held at Vidalia on Wednesday with officials C. C. Mosley Lyons F. B. McLarty Soperton John W. Vann W A Hart John B Todd Julius Peacock Vidalia C H Jones Soperton F G Brewton Mt Vernon Geo B McIntyre M L Stephens and Chas Frizzelle Riley in attendance. The next meeting will be held in Mt. Vernon on the second Wednesday in December.
On Friday afternoon September 22 from 5 30 to 6 30 the Woman's Club will entertain the Vidalia Public School faculty with a lawn reception at Mrs J T Ragans. Members of the PTA and three Missionary Societies are invited to meet the teachers.
The Methodist church Woman's Missionary Society held a Monday afternoon program at the parsonage with a Siberia Manchuria theme. Mrs. French and Mrs. Sampley spoke on missions and Mrs. Clyde Rountree shared letters and photos revealing harsh Siberian conditions. Refreshments followed as many members attended and new members joined. next meeting time is adjusted to 4 o'clock.
