Irish themed dining and jokes highlighted the evening with W O Donovan declaring his pride in being Irish. Dynamiters Captured on Last Sunday
County Game Warden W J Hinson and City Court Solicitor I W Rountree captured five dynamiters last Sunday in the Ohoopee river. They nabbed the dynamite and fish on hand and will bring the violators to city court with Judge Kirkland and Solicitor Rountree presiding at the next term.

February Grand Jury Presentments
The February term grand jury of Toombs County completed work, endorsing annexation of the 50th district to Toombs County. They found charges against County Warden Johnson unfounded and praised his faithful service. They opposed abolishing the city court as it saves money, and recommended monthly support payments for several needy individuals, plus court records corrections.

Not Guilty Verdict In Rape Case At Adjourned Superior Court
The adjourned February term of the superior court, meeting Monday, recessed Tuesday at noon after only one case went to trial. The State vs Julian Findley charged with assault and attempt to rape ended in a not guilty verdict after a Monday session. Judge Hardeman plans May return to Lyons with no jury business until the August term. Court officials were honored at a fish fry hosted by Sheriff Culpepper on the Choopee River with Judge Harden and others attending.

Occupants of Car Narrowly Escape After Collision
Mr and Mrs J H Findley and two young Lyons women Miss Clifton and Miss Peeples escaped serious injury when the car driven by Mr Findley collided with a large touring car on the Cobbtown road near Pendleton creek. Windshield and top were down. Mrs Findley and the two young women were thrown forty five feet but none severely hurt.
