Ferry Boys Wake To Yellow Flood Surrounding Hut
Louie and Chester Poole, sons of O M Poole who runs Towns Bluff Ferry near Uvalda, woke Sunday morning to a yellow Altamaha flood surrounding their hut. The water rose rapidly overnight, washing shoes around inside the room, making crossing by ferry impossible for ten days due to the high river stage.

A Seaboard wreck above Cor dele delayed the east bound train about four hours. Local girl scouts awaiting a return train at Higgston were rescued after a telephone message to Vidalia. Additional Saturday wrecks occurred in local yards and another derailment in the G. F. yard near McIntosh street.

A Boy Scout Rally will be held at Vidalia city hall next Wednesday evening at 8 o clock to explain plans for securing a full time Scout executive for the Twelfth Congressional District.
